Players Cup 5000

Players Cup 5000 will be held Saturday and Sunday June 19 & 20 for 9-Ball and June 26 & 27 for 8-Ball. This seems to be the only available weekend that does not conflict with other tournaments. Start time will be announced when the teams have registered.

First and foremost Players would again like to give special thanks to Clint Palaci for running the tournament.

Players Cup 5000 is open to all teams that are currently playing out of Players Sports Bar. There will be an 8-Ball Tournament and a 9-Ball Tournament. The double jeopardy teams can elect to play in the 8-Ball or 9-Ball tournament.

There will be an entry fee of $25. 100% of this entry fee will be donated to charity. The entry fee assures that teams show up and no other teams are made to show up and have their opponent forfeit. You may be thinking "Hey wait a minute! They said this was going to be free." Well, every team that enter the tournament, shows up and plays will receive at least a $25 prize, thus returning your $25. To sign up we need your team name and $25 in an envelope turned into Clint, Mike or the bartender at Players. You need to register by Friday June 11.

Players will add $5000 to the prize pool. For example, 50 teams sign up, the prize pool will be $6250 (50 X $25 + $5000.) The amount to each tournament will depend on the number of teams signed up for each tournament. In the above example if 30 teams signed up for 8-Ball and 20 teams signed up for 9-Ball , $3750 (60%) would go into the 8-Ball Tournament and $2500 (40%) would go to the 9-Ball Tournament. All tournament prizes will be in Players Gift Certificates. Any prize of $100 or less will be a single certificate. Any prize over $100 will be divided into multiple certificates (up to 8).

Rules:
1. General APA Rules Apply
2. Single Elimination
3. Skill limits are frozen as of the week before the tournament
4. Time limits that apply in The Cities will apply
